Sejad Smajić CEO of Telegroup Sarajevo is a highly experienced Manager with with over 15 years of expertise in project management, software development, and IT. He previously worked as a Project Manager at “General Engineering (Gen.E)” in Sarajevo, overseeing electrical engineering and automation projects across the MENA region, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt. His work involved hybrid project management methodologies, combining predictive (waterfall) and adaptive (Agile) approaches.
Before Gen.E, Sejad was the “Factory Manager” at “ACT Advance Card Technology” in Riyadh, Saudi Rabia, where he managed a large-scale production facility for smart cards, SIM cards, and RFID solutions, achieving EMV certification and leading PCI DSS compliance. He also held roles as Operations Manager at “Bamcard d.d.”, Bosnia's leading payment processor.
Sejad holds a Bachelor of Economics and has extensive technical certifications, including “PMP®, ISO 9001, CCNA, and Agile Product Management” as well as many other certificates. He is fluent in Bosnian, English, and Arabic, with excellent communication skills. His career highlights include managing multi-million-dollar projects, leading cross-functional teams, and implementing complex systems related to software development and engineering as well as standardization in either ISO or PCI DSS standards. Sejad is married and based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
