Cyber challenges and solutions for small and medium businesses

On Wednesday, May 21, in the pleasant atmosphere of the Museum Hotel in Belgrade, a Business Breakfast was held; organized by the company TeleGroup in partnership with the companies Comtrade i Fortinet, - a global leader in the field of cyber security. The event brought together representatives of small and medium-sized companies with the aim of opening a dialogue on current challenges in cyber protection and offering concrete solutions.

Fortinet experts have presented Fortinet Security portfolio with a focus on Endpoint protection, Secure networking, automatic SOC, protection of web and mail services, and finally protection of OT services.

The central message of the meeting was clear: the greatest risk to cyber security today is not technology, but man. Lack of information, carelessness and lack of basic education are the most common entry points for cyber attacks, and it is precisely small and medium-sized enterprises that are most vulnerable - often due to limited resources and lack of specialized knowledge.

A special focus was placed on Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) technology- the first line of defense of modern IT systems. Today, Fortinet occupies a leading position in the global market with 60% share in sold NGFW solutions, which confirms the trust that users around the world place in this platform.

Solutions adapted to the needs of small and medium-sized businesses were also presented, with an emphasis on simple implementation, efficiency and scalability. Participants were demonstrated concrete situations from practice and ways in which cyber threats can be mitigated - not only through technology, but also through raising awareness and educating employees.
