14th TeleGroup Infosec Conference Riding the Waves of Cyber Security Innovations
On Thursday and Friday, September 26–27, the 14th TeleGroup Infosec Conference was successfully held in the inspiring ambiance of the Adriatic coast, riding the waves of Cyber Security innovations.
“Security is a global challenge – as our systems become increasingly interconnected, so do the risks we share,” with this statement, Dejan Vukšić, Security and Defense Advisor to the President of Montenegro, opened the 14th TeleGroup Infosec Conference at the Avala Hotel in Budva.
“We live in a time when digital technologies not only shape our daily lives but also influence every aspect of business, industry, and society as a whole. The development of technology, which has brought numerous advantages, also brings new challenges, with cyber security being one of the most critical. This is precisely the essence of this conference – gathering leading minds and experts to collectively address these challenges and create solutions that will make our digital future safer,” emphasized Dejan Vukšić, Security and Defense Advisor to the President of Montenegro.
A rich two-day program, over 120 participants from across the region, support from partners, leading global IT Security manufacturers, and relevant topics made this conference one of the largest regional business ICT events, bringing together leading experts and innovators in the field of information security.
How to protect critical infrastructure, safeguard personal and corporate data, address the shortage of qualified personnel, improve education in this domain, comply with DORA & NIS2 regulations, enhance Cloud Security, manage the impact of artificial intelligence on daily security processes, and secure financial resources for innovative Cyber Security projects through the Horizon program were just some of the topics that attracted the most attention among the guests.
Within the parallel session of the Women4Cyber Foundation Chapter, joint activities were defined to promote gender equality and raise awareness of the importance of cyber security and the inclusion of women in this growing field.
“This was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on how we are chroniclers of the development of an industry. Cyber Security, once just a segment of the IT industry, has now grown into one of the largest and most critical branches of the global economy. Thank you to our partners and speakers for their participation and support, and to our guests for their trust and interest in the conference, as collective security is a problem and responsibility for all of us. See you next year, when we will likely face new challenges but also discover solutions for a safer Cyber environment,” stated Aleksandar Vratonjić Gligorijević, Marketing Director of TeleGroup.
The TeleGroup Infosec Conference was launched to raise the level of information security in the Western Balkans region and has become one of the most significant IT Security events in the area. As an IT company specializing in security technologies, we aimed to support the efforts of regional IT associations in drawing the attention of state structures and the broader public to information security as the most critical resource of any country, as well as the existence of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats that can jeopardize the stability of the regional economy and society. TeleGroup organized the first conference in 2011 in the Republic of Srpska and in Serbia in 2013.
